Mercedes-AMG engineers are already testing a brand new 2017 Mercedes-AMG E 63 to succeed the outgoing model. The 2017 Mercedes-AMG E 63 was spotted testing recently in northern Sweden.
What is already known for sure is that the new Mercedes will make use of the new 4.0 litre biturbo V8 currently fitted to the Mercedes-AMG GT S and Mercedes-AMG C63 S. Mercedes-AMG are also expected to offer a 4Matic All-Wheel-Drive system, some have even suggested that Mercedes-AMG could do away with the Rear-Wheel-Drive models altogether. Expect the 2017 Mercedes-AMG E 63 to share the same rear axle as the C 63.
Both saloon and estate versions should be available with AWD also on offer to right hand drive markets for the very first time. One of the biggest disappointments of the previous generation was the lack of a Coupe variant, its possible that this latest generation could get a Mercedes-AMG E 63 Coupe. Both the 2016 and the 2017 model of the Mercedes-AMG E 63 is expected to debut later this year at the Paris Motor Show.
